Like you, I've had a very up and down relationship with body image, exercise, and nutrition throughout my life. That's where proper training and flexible nutrition techniques came in and saved my life.
About Caitlin
I was born and raised in Massachusetts, where I currently live with my husband and 2 girls. I grew up an athlete, played college soccer, to now a fitness professional. I graduated from Emmanuel College with a Studio Art major, and even though I don’t use my degree much today, college was some of the best four years of my life and is where my love for running/fitness really began. After graduating, I taught preschool for about 10 years. Even though I loved working with kids, and I was proud of my professional accomplishments, I knew I was missing something in my life.
During that time, my love for running continued to grow and I became an avid marathon runner. From 2011 to 2016 I ran 6 Boston marathons and 6 other marathons across the country.
It was then that I knew I was not in the right profession. So, in 2015, I quit my full-time job to attend the American Academy of Personal Training and pursue my career in fitness.
Shortly after that I became a full-time personal trainer at a large corporate gym where I did 1:1 personal training, taught small group classes and cycle for 4 years.
Then the pandemic hit and forced me to reelevate my career.
And in 2020 Footloose Fitness was born.
I am thankful for all my experiences because they have given me many tools to help understand my clients’ struggles. My personal challenges helped me become a better fitness professional and so I created Footloose Fitness to help others on their own health and fitness journey.
Whatever you are going through right now, there is a good chance I’ve been through it as well. I’m here to tell you that you can eat dessert and enjoy life - and still get fit!
get to know me on the ‘gram:
“Working with Caitlin these last few months has taught me so much! Learning about macros and what to eat and the why behind it has been so eye opening. I have worked with nutritionists before and taken nutrition classes myself, but the simple and approachable way Caitlin explains things have taught me so much more. I have tried diets and workout routines in the past looking for “quick fixes” and nothing stuck (shocking). But the past few months Caitlin has been so encouraging to form foundational habits and routines that will make it easier to stick to any program she designs specifically for me. As a fellow mom of young kids, she is so understanding that life happens and sets realistic expectations. I would highly recommend working with Caitlin, you will not be disappointed. I am so excited to continue this journey with her and see where it takes us!”
